The National Black College Alumni (NBCA) Hall of Fame Foundation, Inc. proudly announces the appointment of four eminent professionals to its Board of Directors. These esteemed individuals bring a wealth of expertise and experience to further the Foundation’s mission of excellence in education, leadership and community empowerment.

Charles DeShazer, M.D.

Dr. Charles DeShazer is Chief Quality and Health Advocacy Officer with Cigna Healthcare. A distinguished board-certified internal medicine physician with over 25 years of management experience, he joins the Board with a commitment to advancing healthcare strategy, value-based care, quality and medical informatics. Dr. DeShazer’s extensive background includes executive leadership roles in medical informatics, quality improvement and care delivery redesign across various healthcare settings. His tenure as Director, Clinical Products for Google, underscores his global strategic acumen in supporting clinicians and healthcare organizations in providing optimal clinical care.

Craig Reed

Craig Reed is Vice President and Chief Procurement Officer for Thermo Fisher Scientific, bringing over 27 years of exemplary leadership in global procurement and supply chain management. With a proven track record in multinational corporations such as Corteva Agriscience, DuPont Corporation, and Delta Air Lines, Reed’s expertise extends to sustainable sourcing strategies and supplier diversity initiatives, aligning seamlessly with the Foundation’s commitment to excellence and inclusivity.

Tarbinlam Lafon

Tarbinlam Lafon, Vice President and Chief Procurement Officer at Humana Inc., joins the Board with extensive experience in global procurement and supplier management operations. Lafon’s previous roles at Organon & Co. and Merck demonstrate his proficiency in developing strategic procurement frameworks and fostering collaborative partnerships across the healthcare sector.

Terika Fasakin

Terika Fasakin, Senior Brand Director for Simply & Kids Juice Portfolio at The Coca-Cola Company, brings a wealth of marketing and brand management expertise to the Board. Her experience leading marketing for Sprite, as well as her tenure at Amazon Music and Frito-Lay, underscores her innovative approach to driving growth and equity in consumer goods. Terika’s commitment to diversity and community engagement aligns with the Foundation’s values, making her a valuable addition to the Board.
