Lionel Richie

Lionel Richie is a Tuskegee University graduate and songwriter whose work with the Commodores and as a solo artist produced some of the defining popular songs of the late twentieth century. After writing hits such as “Easy,” “Three Times a Lady,” and “Endless Love,” he launched a solo career that reached a worldwide audience.

• Co-lead singer and songwriter of the Commodores before a multi-platinum solo career.
• Wrote or recorded chart-topping songs including “Lady,” “Truly,” and “All Night Long.”
• Inducted into the National Black College Alumni Hall of Fame in 1987.
