Dr. Joseph Lowery

Joseph Lowery, a Knoxville College alumnus, helped found the Southern Christian Leadership Conference and later served as its president. He was a principal voice of the movement in Atlanta for half a century.

Inducted into the National Black College Alumni Hall of Fame in 1999.
