Bernard Kinsey

Bernard Kinsey is a Florida A&M University alumnus, former Xerox executive, and philanthropist. With Shirley Kinsey he built the Kinsey Collection, one of the largest private holdings of African American art and historical material, and later chaired FAMU’s corporate cluster, helping raise millions for the university.

• Curated the Kinsey Collection documenting African American achievement from 1595 to the present.
• During his years as chair of the FAMU cluster (1984–1991), helped generate about $9 million in support for the university.
• Inducted into the National Black College Alumni Hall of Fame in 2024 in Arts & Entertainment.
