Lt. Gen. (Ret.) Marvin Brailsford and Mrs. June Brailsford

Lt. Gen. Marvin D. Brailsford, a distinguished military graduate of Prairie View A&M, retired in 1992 as deputy commanding general of the U.S. Army Materiel Command after 33 years, including Gulf War logistics. June E. Brailsford has been honored with him for a lifetime of service, music, and education in their communities.

• Deputy commanding general, U.S. Army Materiel Command; oversaw Gulf War Army logistics.
• Prairie View A&M distinguished military graduate with later study at Iowa State, Harvard’s Kennedy School, and the Army War College.
• Inducted into the National Black College Alumni Hall of Fame in 2025 for Lifetime Achievement.
