Honorable Johnny Ford

Johnny Ford, a Knoxville College alumnus, was the first African American mayor of Tuskegee, Alabama. He later served in the Alabama Legislature and remained a national voice for small-city leadership and historically Black college towns.

• First Black mayor of Tuskegee; later an Alabama state legislator.
• Longtime advocate for HBCU communities and municipal leadership.
• Inducted into the National Black College Alumni Hall of Fame in 2007.
