Brigadier General Clara Adams-Ender

Clara Adams-Ender, a North Carolina A&T graduate, rose to brigadier general in the Army Nurse Corps and became the chief of the Corps. She later wrote about leadership and mentoring in military nursing.

• Chief of the U.S. Army Nurse Corps.
• First woman to earn a master’s degree from the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College.
• Inducted into the National Black College Alumni Hall of Fame in 2015.
