Rev. Dr. Charles Luther Johnson, Sr. (1944–2022) was a Claflin University alumnus and United Methodist pastor in South Carolina. Born in Charleston, he served congregations and conference leadership roles for decades and is honored posthumously.
Accomplishments
- District Superintendent of the Greenville District, South Carolina Conference of the United Methodist Church.
- Later chaired the Order of Elders on the conference Board of Ordained Ministry.
- Inducted posthumously into the NBCA Hall of Fame in 2022 in Faith and Theology.
