Dr. Wyatt Tee Walker

Wyatt Tee Walker, a Virginia Union alumnus, was chief of staff to Martin Luther King Jr. during the Birmingham campaign and later a major Harlem pastor. He helped design the Project C strategy that filled Birmingham’s jails.

• SCLC chief of staff during the 1963 Birmingham campaign.
• Longtime pastor of Canaan Baptist Church of Christ in Harlem.
• Inducted into the National Black College Alumni Hall of Fame in 2007.
