Hamilton Bohannon

Hamilton Bohannon, a Clark Atlanta University alumnus, was a Motown house drummer who later led his own disco and R&B band. Hits such as “Let’s Start the Dance” made him a staple of 1970s dance radio.

• Recorded the dance hit “Let’s Start the Dance.”
• Inducted into the National Black College Alumni Hall of Fame in 2017.
