Dr. Samantha J.F. Deloache

Dr. Samantha Joanna Faye DeLoache is a pharmacist, entrepreneur, and speaker from Orangeburg, South Carolina, and a May 2003 honors graduate of Claflin University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in biology on a full academic scholarship. She completed a Doctor of Pharmacy at the Medical University of South Carolina in 2007 and an M.B.A. at The Citadel. For more than 18 years she has practiced pharmacy, including service as a pharmacist manager at a community health pharmacy in Gastonia, North Carolina, and she is a certified immunizer.

DeLoache built a second career that refuses the idea that a woman in science must choose only one lane. In 2020 she trademarked Modeling Pharmacist and founded Model Speakers Academy to coach women in confidence and public voice. She also launched Model Missions, a nonprofit focused on health education and communication skills for students, and she has provided pharmacy care on medical mission trips to Jamaica, Guatemala, the Dominican Republic, Nigeria, and the Bahamas.

Claflin named her an Outstanding Leader Under 40. She has been listed in Who’s Who in Black Charlotte and completed Leadership North Carolina. A member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., she tells students they can hold a traditional profession and an entrepreneurial life at the same time. She is a 2026 National Black College Alumni Hall of Fame inductee in Medicine.

• Graduated Claflin with honors on a full scholarship. DeLoache earned a Bachelor of Science in biology in May 2003, then completed a Doctor of Pharmacy at the Medical University of South Carolina in 2007 and an M.B.A. at The Citadel.
