Nicole Pullen Ross

Nicole Pullen Ross is a Hampton University trustee and a partner at Goldman Sachs, where she leads Northeast Private Wealth Management and the firm’s Sports and Entertainment Solutions business. A native of Roanoke, Virginia, she earned a B.S. in accounting at Hampton in 1994 after discovering financial markets on the Hampton campus, then completed an M.B.A. at Columbia Business School. She interned at J.P. Morgan as an undergraduate, worked there after college, and joined Goldman Sachs in 1999 as a private wealth advisor in New York.

Ross was named managing director in 2011 and partner in 2020. She previously led Mid-Atlantic and New York private wealth teams before taking the Northeast region. In 2018 her group launched Sports and Entertainment Solutions to advise athletes, artists, and families whose wealth can arrive quickly and must be built to last. She has served as Americas head of the firmwide Black Network and as a leader of Goldman Sachs’ One Million Black Women effort, a $10 billion investing initiative aimed at narrowing opportunity gaps for Black women.

At Hampton she chairs the Investment Committee of the Board of Trustees and returned in 2026 to deliver the University’s Opening Convocation. She has also served on the boards of UNCF, the Brookings Institution, and the Charter School Growth Fund. She is a 2026 National Black College Alumni Hall of Fame inductee in Business.

• Built a career from a Hampton accounting classroom to a Goldman Sachs partnership. • Leads Northeast Private Wealth Management. After heading Mid-Atlantic and New York private wealth teams, she now oversees the Northeast region, advising families whose capital and influence reach well beyond Wall Street.
• Launched Goldman Sachs’ Sports and Entertainment Solutions business. In 2018 her group created a practice for athletes, artists, and families whose wealth can arrive quickly and must be built to last.
• Helps lead One Million Black Women. She has served as Americas head of the firmwide Black Network and as a leader of Goldman Sachs’ $10 billion investing initiative aimed at narrowing opportunity gaps for Black women.
• Chairs Hampton’s Investment Committee. As a University trustee she oversees endowment stewardship and returned in 2026 to deliver Opening Convocation. She has also served on the boards of UNCF, the Brookings Institution, and the Charter School Growth Fund.
