Tracy Broughton, Ms. America 2011 is a successful entrepreneur, sought after public speaker/trainer,
artist, model, designer, mother of twin boys, and is proud to be a humanitarian. She and has been
featured on NBC, FOX, CNN, CBS, MTV, HNL, FOX Business, Clear Channel, Tru TV, and more. She has
starred in shows such as 2 Guys a Girl and a Pizza Kitchen, Married with Children, Buffy the Vampire
Slayer, 90210, and Baywatch. Tracy enjoys speaking and making appearances for corporate accounts like
Wells Fargo, California Women’s Conference, Saddleback Church, Goodwill Industries, Moreno Valley
School District, City of Mission Viejo, and the NAACP. She has modeled for companies such companies as
Nordstrom, Toys R US, Wells Fargo, Magic Johnson, Karl Kani. She has served on the board for the
HerShe Group and Phenomenal Women, which helps women and foster children. She has owned several
businesses and is an independent distributor of legal services. She is also launching a custom crutch and
cane cover company called Couture Crutches.
After surviving not one but two major car accidents, Tracy is a pioneer that has paved the way for the
disabled and was honored with the Goodwill Industries Walter Knott Service Award for advancing public
awareness and opportunities for people with disabilities. Tracy was the first to compete in an “able
body” pageant in her wheelchair and was crowned Ms. Black California. Many were impressed that she
quickly and fully recovered from her first car accident in 1991, but it was her recuperation from her
second car accident in 1996 that has made her a symbol of persistence and courage. After her accident
over 18 years ago, 11 of those years she was confined to a wheelchair for mobility…Tracy is now
walking, with the help of a crutch!
