Queens Registration Opens May 31, 2022

 

The National Black College Alumni Hall of Fame Foundation, Inc. will host The Competition of Black College Queens as part of its Annual NBCA Hall of Fame Weekend. During the Hall of Fame Weekend, The Miss NBCA Hall of Fame is crowned.

The National Black College Alumni Hall of Fame Foundation, Inc. will host The Competition of Black College Queens as part of its Annual NBCA Hall of Fame Weekend. The Competition will be held in Atlanta, GA September 21st – 24th, 2022, and the application process is now available for registration.

The 2022 Hall of Fame Weekend marks 37 years of celebrating the distinguished graduates of HBCUs and recognizing their significant contributions to society.

We intend to encourage participants to follow COVID protocols and wear mask, as we continue to emphasize excellence, achievement, and personal growth for the queens to make their experience rewarding and FUN!

 

In order to participate, each queen is required to complete the Official Miss National Black College Alumni Hall of Fame Competition of Black College Queens online entry form, pay entry fee, provide COVID vaccination card, and adhere to all guidelines.

Queens Past and Present

 

The Competition encourages contestants to gain:

  • SELF – AWARENESS
  • SOCIAL – CONFIDENCE
  • INDIVIDUAL PRIDE
  • PRIDE FOR THEIR INSTITUTION
  • INCREASED SOCIAL – AWARENESS

The learning outcomes for each contestant in this national competition are:

  • Apply principles of articulation in front of an audience comfortably
  • Apply principles of effective speaking to improve their ability to communicate
  • Discuss and explain their platform successfully

 

THE COMPETITION

While the program places emphasis on excellence, achievement and personal growth, it also strives to make this experience FUN! The Hall of Fame Weekend features events tailored specifically for the queens, such as: A Call to Womanhood, the Queens’ Tea, the Positive Image Program, and various self improvement and empowering workshop.

The exciting Competition showcases young African American women from HBCUs who hold the coveted title of “Queen” of their institution. The queens are judged in five categories and the winner receives an academic scholarship and various gifts and prizes. Miss National Black College Alumni Hall of Fame serves as a national representative and advocates on behalf of HBCUs.
