Additionally, she has implemented voter registration drives and forums that have successfully registered hundreds of students to vote. A frequent event panelist and moderator, Ashlee had the honor of conducting a live televised interview with the Delaware Department of Elections to address concerns of students.

Before her tenure as Miss Delaware State University, she served as Vice President of the Student Government Association, Miss Sophomore and Miss Freshman. Academically, Ashlee is a Thurgood Marshall College Fund Scholar, achieving consistent Presidents’ and Dean’s listing throughout her undergraduate career. Always believing in the power of giving back, she is an accomplished mentor of freshmen and high school girls. Upon graduation, Ashlee plans to earn a Juris Doctorate and own her own law firm as an attorney. She is dedicated to giving back to HBCUs, hoping to offer scholarship opportunities and internships to undergraduate students seeking to become lawyers who will equalize the justice system.
